Water Tram
A cruise on the Vistula from the Old Town to the Czerniakowski headland is available from the beginning of May to the end of June at the weekend and everyday during July and August. It lasts 2 hours and has 3 stops - below the Castle at the River Cafe, by Poniatowski Bridge and at the Czerniakowski headland. On holidays and weekends there are 4 cruises a day and on weekdays 3. Youu can get tickets on the boat or in the Capital Water Transport Office at flat 1, 36 Świętokrzyska Street, Mon-Fri 12:00-15:00.
Tickets: adult 18zł, concessions 9zł, family (3-5 people including at least 1 child) - 12zł per adult and kids 9zł. There's a 10% discount if you have the Warsaw Tourist Card. Kids under 6 and adults over 70 go free.
Boat trip to Serock
The cruise takes you along the Vistula and the Żeran Canal to Serock on the Zegrzyński Lake. The boat can take up to 110 people and leaves from below the castle at 9:00am. It runs from May to June at the weekend and on holidays and Friday is added to the timetable in July and August. You get to Serock at 12:00 and the return trip leaves at 13:30 and gets you back to Warsaw at 18:00. Tickets: adults 36zł, concessions 18zł, family (3-5 people including at least 1 child) - 25zł per adult and kids 18zł. There's a 10% discount if you have the Warsaw Tourist Card. Under 6s and over 70s go free.
Ja Wisła Foundation cruises (I, the Vistula foundation)
Although they are organised by a foundation, you have to pay for the cruises which are educational, full of adventure and test your survival skills. Their aim is introduce you to the Vistula and its basin and you sail in traditional, wooden 12-person boats with engines. Ferries
The two banks of the Vistula are also connected by ferries which sail from May to the end of August. In May and June weekends only, in July and August everyday. Each ferry can take 12 people and 12 bikes and are free. There are 3 routes - Łomianki - Nowodwory, From below the Royal Castle - zoo, Cypel Czerniakowski - Saska Kępa.
