Gdańsk is a city of almost a half-milion population. It is situated by the Baltic Sea. The city is modern and rapidly developing, but at the same time charming and quiet because of an amazing Old Town, historical houses by Motława river and wide, urban beaches. Gdańsk has the biggest harbor in Poland. It's a part of the Tri-city (Gdańsk - Sopot - Gdynia) area. There are many wonderful areas around Gdańsk like the Hel Peninsula or Masurian Lake District. Landscape created by the water - bays and pools - is typical for Gdańsk. The 17th century Neptune monument in the city center - a guardian of this land - is a must see attraction.
