Pieniny [PICTURES]

Pieniny mountain range is a part of the Carpathians. Its limestone peaks, which were thrust up millions of years ago, are lower than Tatras, but equally lofty and majestic, their vertical walls rising above steep, wooded slopes and the spectacular Dunajec Gorge. The area is criss-crossed with a dense network of hiking trails with a variety of viewpoints from which to enjoy the magnificent landscapes.
